General Summary: We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of DSD Communications Associate. This role will be responsible for the disbursement of all field sales communications that support the Client Snacks Sales team and the Independent DSD Distributor (IDP) network. Build reporting, provide analytical insights and develop tools that drive action for successful retail execution. This role will systematize and streamline the information flow so the sales team can focus on selling.
Primary Responsibilities: • Ensure Clear & Concise Communication Disbursement o Build data sets to disperse large sets of information o Review data, garner insights and develop strategies to drive actionable and measurable results o Procure communication requests and support distribution accordingly to multiple audiences within guidelines o Revise communications where necessary for the Retail Execution , Warehouse, Customer and Strategy teams for the IDP network o Review/Revise ad hoc communications as needed to support various business initiatives • Effective Distribution of Selling Materials to Field Sales & IDPs o Ensure communication is distributed to the internal and external key stakeholders in a concise and timely manner o Support optimization of the overall communication process for communication with the internal & external teams o Develop tools and utilize new technologies to enhance the communications both internally and externally
Job Complexity: • Ability to synthesize large volumes of sales information into simple, actionable guidance • Helps translate communication requests to deliver key messages to multiple audiences • Ability to work with legal and other cross functional teams to review materials and ensure compliance with guidelines and policies • Ability to prioritize several competing requests and manage demands from multiple key stakeholders • This position requires high attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority • Must be capable of managing a heavy workload and operate in a fast-paced environment. • Must be pro-active and able to work independently • Must look for opportunities to continually improve and streamline • A positive, 'can do' attitude is essential
Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor's degree from four-year College or university; 3 years in analyst role • Strong Excel skills required with experience downloading and combining data from systems to excel and building macros • Experience with syndicated data systems • Experience analyzing data and summarizing findings • Exceptional planning, organizing, and time management skills • Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and presentation and communication skills. • Excellent project management and people management skills. • Ability to effectively influence others, develop credibility and build relationships inside the organization with cross functional partners • Must be familiar and fluent to administer, post and manage SharePoint and other collaboration tools. • Strong results orientation. Effectively prioritizes work and manages to deadlines. • Travel, 5%, all domestic
Responsibilities: Responsible for ensuring timely, creative and accurate dissemination of news, multimedia content and information Create a variety of content for platforms, ensuring quality, accuracy and effective storytelling that aligns with corporate messaging this role requires keen news judgment deciding what content and presentations work best for working media as well as internal and dealer audiences Works hand-in-hand with the Internal Communications Specialist to maximize content distribution he/she reviews and edits pieces for internal and dealer audiences, ensuring quality and messaging consistency throughout He/she assists Corporate Communications with message development, writing, and editing Uses products such as the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite to design and produce infographics in accordance with Client's Product CI that support the brand s messaging and priorities across product, corporate, innovation, and lifestyle communications Works closely with Client's Product corporate sales team to write and finalize monthly and annual press release Develops and maintains the Product News Twitter handle, delivering the latest in Client's Product news and driving traffic back to the newsroom Qualifications: Undergraduate Degree in Communications, Journalism, or an associated area (Arts & Sciences, Economics, Sociology, Psychology) Skilled writer and editor with a keen eye for detail and voice Communication skills interpersonal and presentation Ability to contribute to and lead message development Ability to manage projects within department as well as cross-departmentally to conceive, produce and oversee production of compelling stories Savvy in content design programs like Adobe Creative Cloud Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign) Social media acumen deep understanding of social media technologies and best practices.
