The Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring quality control of the finished product and the production process. Additionally, maintaining and inspecting raw material specifications. The Quality Control Technician must be able to work closely with our Production, Research & Development, Claims and Sales Team to assist them in product review and claim defect review. The Quality Control Tech is fundamental in quality and product training for production employees.
Job Responsibilities
Inspect incoming raw materials, in-process materials and finished goods and checking for quality and that they meet necessary specifications Ensure equipment is calibrated, validated and maintained properly and ensure safety during operation of equipment Take personal ownership to work safely each day and hold other team members to the same high standards of safety Report unsafe conditions immediately to supervisor/manger Exhibit leadership in safety by taking ownership for your own safety and by exhibiting influence on the people you work with; actively participate in the plant's safety process Demonstrate leadership skills in dealing with process and quality troubleshooting and improvement efforts Demonstrate the ability to redefine what is possible and consistently elevate your performance and that of your team; seek developmental opportunities to continuously improve your job skills and job performance Continually look for opportunities to improve performance by better managing information, knowledge and communication Be an integral part of a strong corrective action system to reduce and eliminate defects and customer complaints Perform product testing and tests on raw materials and finished product; enter data into AWAQS Inform Lead Operators on Quality test results Lead plant efforts to achieve zero defects in Quality Perform product testing and tests on raw materials; enter data into quality data base Analyze quality data, identify trends, communicate problems, find and implement solutions Perform test equipment calibrations Assist in Claim Investigations Assist with the Nonconformance Product on Hold Process to help facilitate a timely disposition of product on hold Take care of requests for product and raw material sampling Participate in and lead quality improvement efforts Train Operations Technicians on Quality Test Methods in their areas to identify defects Assist in maintaining our Quality Manual to ensure its up to date up to date Assist with keeping our Manufacturing Specifications and Raw Material Specifications up to date Demonstrate high standards in workplace organization Housekeeping activities are automatic; be self-policing to ensure sustainability and continuous improvement Comply with all plant rules Comply with safety regulations and maintain a clean and orderly work area Regular Attendance on site and the ability to rotate varying shifts All other duties as assigned or needed Be a team player work with production and help out as needed.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE The employee should have the following: Quality experience (Minimum 1 year) Manufacturing experience (Minimum of 3 years) Must be a US Citizen Must be 18 years or older
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in a manufacturing setting A demonstrated ability to lead and influence people in a positive manner is required Root cause analysis investigation Write and maintain standard working procedures Experience with quality and monitoring equipment
ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT The employee should possess the ability to: Ability to stand for 12 hours straight Able to identify finished goods and raw materials non-conformities through visual inspection
