Description:

Responsible for evaluating vendor files by analyzing, researching and correcting the information and making a determination on how the file should be processed into the information systems (IMS, Genesis, Upside, and IPC) which feeds the materials management system used by HCA, ROi Regard, Lifepoint and (SMART), CatScan, and direct data extracts used by the HealthTrust membership. In addition the analyst will generate amendments to modify contracts supported by information from the contract management team, vendors and the HealthTrust membership. This position entails collaborating with external and internal customers/departments/companies to improve and streamline processes and information systems while maintaining user confidence and protecting operations by keeping information confidential. Decisions made regarding the contracted data directly impact membership compliance, members’ contract association and visibility, customer service issue volume, spend and financial analysis accuracy, system functionality (system failures), facilities’ placement of purchase orders and vendor invoice accuracy, etc.

Responsible for item integrity in large database of medical/surgical items (IMS) and pharmaceutical products (Genesis and IPC). Must perform research; analyze differences between items, and identify which items constitute new entries for database.
Responsible for reviewing contract amendment language and determining whether current contract terms and conditions are affected and working with contract manager to resolve.
Manage the grouping of current HealthTrust COIDs within the Item Management System to direct, change, and create new lines of visibility to contracted pricing
Manage the onboarding of new members by associating them to their applicable contracts and contract specific pricing (custom agreements)
Generate amendments to modify contracts supported by information from the contract management team, the vendors and the HealthTrust membership.
Add and Delete items to/from agreements
Extend terms of existing agreements
Change pricing and/or unit of measure for contracted items
Communicate contract portfolio changes to vendors and distributors
Provide analytic and operational support for HealthTrust National Agreements, CoreTrust and Parallon Supply Chain for national and custom contracts.
Research discrepancies identified by members, vendors, distributors, and internal audit; collaborating with all aforementioned entities to identify and resolve the discrepancy in a timely manner.
Monitor project progress by tracking and logging activity, providing reports to leadership, and recommending actions required for proposed solutions.
Evaluate existing system logic, operational processes, and procedures in order to propose solutions and/or make recommendations that will best solve end user problems and/or shape new functionality within existing applications.
Work independently with minimum supervision.
Develop, document, and educate team members on new business processes and supporting policies and procedures.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Analysis skills - knowledge of research techniques sufficient to collect, analyze, interpret, and communicate complex data effectively
Interpersonal Skills - establish and maintain long-term relationships, building trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations of business partners
Reporting skills - experience collecting and correlating data from related technologies
Computer skills – Advanced in Excel functionality and a strong proficiency in using MS Office Suite
Ability to research and troubleshoot technical issues
Communication - clearly and concisely communicates verbally and in writing
Strong multi-tasking and time management skills required
Ability to work in a highly dynamic and complex business environment

College Graduate/Equivalent
Other as Noted: Work experience may be substituted for college degree

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS – Must be able to sit for long periods of time. Occasional travel required.
