DESCRIPTION:
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to: Assisting with gauging and measurement methods and techniques (training & troubleshooting). Perform measurements and compile documentation. Work with limited supervision. Responsible for operation, maintenance & calibration of all inspection equipment. Knowledge of product and manufacturing processes. Blueprint reading and specification interpretation. Mark all components according to the proper part identification system. Keep parts and inspection rooms clean, organized and safe. Present data on spreadsheet for analysis. Communicate with appropriate departments and mold techs when problem are identified.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES Other responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to: Complies with all local, state, federal and BD safety regulations, policies/procedures. Complies with all local BD quality policies/procedures/practices through consistent application of sound Quality Assurance principles. Performs other job-related duties as assigned. Observes all safety, environmental and quality system standards. Education High school diploma or equivalent required. Technical school experience preferred.
Experience Requires basic computer skills, experience using spreadsheets and SAP system preferred. Blueprint reading skills also preferred.
Requirements Ability to read, write and understand English. Ability to use all basic mathematical operations (i.e. multiplication and division), including proper use of decimals. Requires knowledge of formulated mathematics and metric conversion. Requires strong interpersonal skills, good problem solving and follow up skills. The associate must have the ability to work with little direction.
Equipment Use Requires ability to setup and use of all types of precision measuring equipment as required. Requires ability to operate a computer with a standard keyboard and a standard calculator.
Physical Requirements Level 3 Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds occasionally or 10 to 25 pounds frequently, or up to 10 pounds constantly. BD04123JD
