The ideal Human Resources candidate will be able to demonstrate clearly their ability to provide strategic & technical Human Resource leadership in a large manufacturing environment. The Human Resources Manager plans, directs, and coordinates the administrative functions of the plant Human Resources department. They oversee the recruiting, interviews, and hiring of new staff; consult with top executives on strategic planning; and serve as a link between an organization's management and its employees.

Act as a key consultant and advisor to management on Human Resource issues by identifying problem areas, proposing solutions to correct any issues, and executing those solutions in a timely manner
The ideal candidate should be an excellent presenter who can capture an audience’s attention, maintain their engagement, and deliver the message in a positive and effective manner
The Human Resources Manager will be conducting training sessions for new employees as well as presenting a wide variety of information to management on all levels

Assist all members of management in communicating expected goals and objectives to their direct reports and involve all employees in decision-making processes in which they can have a direct positive impact
The ability to multitask is extremely important, as on an average day a Human Resources Manager could deal with a personal complaint one minute, answer a maternity leave question the next, and then develop an effective recruiting strategy for a difficult to fill position afterward
A business’s needs and priorities are constantly shifting and evolving, so Masonite needs a Human Resources Manager capable of handling multiple issues simultaneously
Manage the recruitment process for all hiring, for both internal and external job postings, in consultation with the management team; provide onboarding and orientations as required; devise retention strategies for all employees and complete exit interviews
Must have the ability to deal with issues that fall into a “gray area”, and have the wisdom to know when to seek advice from other leaders, legal, and/or subject matter experts
Ensure planning, monitoring and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees
Having a strong sense of ethics is vital for a Human Resources Manager, as they often serve as the conscious of the plant, and you will have to earn the trust of both employees and managers. Discretion and honesty are two critical components of any successful Human Resources Manager
Create, revise and develop policies and procedures as necessary and ensure that all communications surrounding these policies are clear and documented
Effectively communicate with both employers and employees, which must be clear and concise to individuals on all levels of the organization. This will also include negotiations and conflict management
Ensure that all levels of management and employees follow and adhere to the principles and values of the Masonite blueprint. The only effective workforce is a motivated one. A successful Human Resources Manager will be able to effectively motivate your managers, who in turn will motivate the employees under them
Having courage is essential as there will be times when your career calls for you to stand firmly in the face of opposition, and you must be able to stand firm in your convictions and belief regarding what is best for your organization
Perform any other duties or participate in special projects as assigned by the RHRM
Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
5 to 7 experience in Human Resources Management in a manufacturing environment.
