Job Summary: Responsible for the performance and utilization of the automated case packaging machine's efficiency, setup, troubleshooting and supervise staff assigned to the line. Essential Job Functions Verifies product labels, item numbers, and lot numbers. Responsible for equipment changeover. Completes required production paperwork and reports. Responsible for monitoring, verifying, and recording the X-ray checks. Assists with the training of new personnel and directs staff working under his/her supervision. Receives and records lot numbers and quantities of all packaging material required. Systematically reports all material used. Completes the return form for all the packaging material left at the end of the shift. Responsible for case packaging, line wrapping, and changing film roll machine operations. Informs supervisor of any rise in temperature from the spiral freezer Monitors and records product temperature, provides information to upper management and notifies supervisor of temperature changes in the spiral freezer. Responsible for reporting equipment needing repairs. Reports accidents and injuries immediately Assist with training of new personnel. Schedule: Must be available to work any shifts, including nights and weekends. Food Safety Responsibilities Monitors and enforces cGMPs Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices and Prerequisite programs. Qualifications 1 to 2 years of Manufacturing experience Ability to understand written and oral directions in English and/or Spanish. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to write reports. Excellent computer skills
Physical Requirements Frequently lift and/or carry up to 50 Lbs. Frequently push/pull up to 50 Lbs. Able to operate office equipment including computer, keyboard, telephone, scanner, copier, etc.
