JobsRUs.com is a service-oriented staffing and recruiting company dedicated to working closely with our clients. We are currently hiring for an Information Security Analyst position in New Kent, VA.
**Note that this position will relocate to Richmond, VA, within 3–4 months of the start date.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Salary: Commensurate with experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage IT-related requests for Cardinal and M365 account creation.
- Assign and manage IT resources and provide general IT support not requiring VITA controls.
- Oversee agency website management, maintenance updates, and SSL/patch compliance.
- Manage IT RFS, VITA application modernization summary reports, and other IT projects.
- Prepare and submit Agency ITSP (IT Investment and Strategic Planning).
- Handle AI registry and other IT service requests not approved by VITA.
- Coordinate IT procurement for hardware, software, services, and VITA PC Refresh requests.
- Complete the Annual Cardinal Security Review and submit risk findings to VITA via the Archer system.
- Request exceptions for non-standard equipment (e.g., MacBooks).
- Coordinate role-based cybersecurity training and annual cyber-awareness briefings for all VRC staff.
- Review Consumption Volume Forecasting and recurring charges reports from VITA/SAIC.
- Information Security Assistance: Track SEC-530 controls, review VITA log incident reports, and conduct annual COOP/DRP tabletop exercises.
- AITR Backup & Tech-Procurement Coordination: Serve as secondary Agency IT Representative and primary ISO. Draft technical sections of RFPs/IFBs, organize vendor demos, and manage deliverables.
- Application Evaluation & User Liaison: Gather requirements, coordinate UAT, manage go-live checklists, and coach staff on new features (no coding required).
- Documentation: Write plain-language SOPs.
